What we offer

Real support for something nobody talks about

Everything here is designed to work without a therapist's copay or a waitlist. Just people who genuinely get it.

🗣️
Weekly Group Circles

Small facilitated groups of 6–10, meeting weekly over video. Guided, not therapy — more like a kitchen table conversation with people who actually understand.

Always growing

How it works

Getting started takes five minutes

1

Tell us about your situation

A short onboarding form helps us understand your family dynamic, what you're feeling, and what kind of support you're looking for — whether that's talking, listening, or just reading.

2

Get matched to a group that fits

We sort groups by theme — growing apart, estrangement, caregiving for a parent together, life-stage gaps, rivalry and comparison, and more. You'll be placed with people navigating the same specific dynamic, not a general support group.

3

Start at your own pace

Begin as a listener. Drop into a session when you're ready to talk. Take on a peer partner when it feels right. There's no pressure and no timeline.

4

Build something that lasts

Long-term members often become facilitators themselves — a way to give back, earn a small stipend, and stay connected to the community that helped them.

What members say

Real voices from the community

"

I used to dread family events — the comparisons, the questions. After a few months here, I walk in lighter. My sister and I are even finding our way back to each other.

— Denise M., member since 2024

"

The listen-in sessions were everything. I wasn't ready to talk at all, but hearing other people put language to things I'd never named — that alone was worth it.

— Marcus T., member since 2024

"

My therapist is great. This is different. This is the place where I don't have to explain what it's like to have a sibling I love and struggle with at the same time. Everyone just knows.

— Priya K., member since 2023

Our approach

Shadow & Kin isn't therapy and doesn't pretend to be. We're a structured peer community for navigating sibling relationships — built on what actually works: consistency, small groups, and the simple power of not feeling alone in something.

Our facilitators are trained community members, not clinicians. We partner with licensed therapists for curriculum review and always refer members to professional care when it's the right fit.
